Meet Jaclyn, of Moozega (@moozega and www.moozega.com). She describes herself as “Simple. Fun. Whimsical.” In fact, I’d say those words accurately describe her shop and the designs she currently offers. She was one of our August shop feature winners, and I feel quite lucky to have run into this adorable brand. Their AW15 line, just launched, is inspired by a typical day in the life of my toddler, i.e. food, cars, creativity and lots of snugglin’, and the line doesn’t disappoint.
So, Jaclyn of Moozega, who are you and what do you love?
I’m originally from RI but have lived in NYC for the past 19 years. Before starting my business I worked as a graphic designer in the apparel industry. I love hanging out with my family, the beach, running, road trips, pizza and 90’s music.
When and Why did you start your brand? What was your inspiration?
I launched my line in June 2014. For as long as I can remember, I always wanted to start my own business. My son was my true motivation to make it happen.
What do you think makes your brand unique?
I try not to follow trends. If something that inspires me happens to be a trend, I make sure I do something to make it my own.
What do you have planned for the future?
I’d like to design and manufacturer my own collection eventually.
